A GCash wallet and a Maya wallet each have two kinds of ceiling: the most the wallet can hold, and the most it can receive and send in a month. Both wallets publish those numbers in their own help pages, and both move them when you complete identity verification. This page quotes the published figures, so the wallet limit you plan around is the one the wallet itself prints.

GCash wallet limit by profile
GCash’s help page states that wallet limits were updated effective 1 October 2026. The figures below are from that page as read on 12 October 2026, so they are the post-change numbers. The page says the app must be on its latest version to show them.

GCash describes the profiles this way: Basic is for non-verified users, GCash Jr. is for fully verified users aged 7 to 17, Fully Verified covers adults, GTourist and PowerPay Plus users, and Platinum is for eligible Globe Platinum subscribers. The same page lists 5M and 10M profiles, with wallet limits of PHP 5,000,000 and PHP 10,000,000, for eligible customers with active GSave, GFunds, GBonds, GStocks or GCrypto, subject to approval.
Daily incoming is listed as no limit for every profile except Platinum, which is PHP 500,000 a day. Hit a limit and, by GCash’s account, some services stay closed to you until the count restarts on the 1st of the next month, unless you upgrade the profile first.
How linked GCash accounts share a limit
Adults can create up to five accounts that GCash links to one customer profile, and minors aged 7 to 17 can have one account per customer profile. GCash’s page says the highest wallet and transaction limit applies to all linked accounts, and gives an example: if one account has a PHP 500,000 limit and another a PHP 1,000,000 limit, the maximum wallet limit for both becomes PHP 1,000,000.
Limits are not stacked into a bigger total. If mobile number A has already received PHP 1,000,000 in a month, the other linked accounts cannot receive more until the incoming limit resets on the 1st of the next month. Separate limits can also apply to the GCash Card, GSave transactions and GCrypto transactions, which the page lists as their own services.
Maya wallet limit by account type
Maya publishes its limits on its account limits page, read on 12 October 2026. The wallet balance limit is a monthly figure, and the purchase limits are daily.

For receiving, the same page lists PHP 50K per transaction for money arriving from other banks by InstaPay, on every account type. Cash-in limits depend on how much you already moved that month: Maya’s own example is a Basic user with a PHP 50K wallet limit who transferred PHP 10K from a bank savings account, who can then receive only PHP 40K more in the month. The page marks the monthly limits as subject to change, so read it again before a large move.
How verification changes a wallet limit
Verification is the lever on both wallets. GCash starts every account on a Basic profile, and full verification is what lifts an adult’s Basic account to a PHP 500,000 limit, according to its help page. A minor with a Basic account can reach PHP 100,000. GCash also says downgrading to a lower wallet limit is not available.
GCash’s verification page lists the steps in the app:
- Go to Profile and choose Verify Now, then Get Started.
- Read the reminders and enter the 6-digit code sent to your number.
- Enter your birthday and confirm you are a Filipino citizen.
- Select an ID and scan it, using one valid government ID, then take a selfie scan.
- Review your information and submit. GCash says to expect an SMS update after 3 days.
Maya asks for a video selfie, a valid ID, a verified address and verified personal information to move from Basic to Upgraded. Higher tiers on its page are labelled Super users and Ultimate users, and the page links to its own Upgrade account flow.
Where to read your own limit
Your account can differ from the table, so read the live figure in the app. GCash’s page says to update the app, log in and open Profile, then Profile Limits. Maya’s page says to log in, select the profile button on the upper left, choose Account Limits and browse the daily and monthly tabs.

Check the incoming limit first. GCash’s troubleshooting flow says a cash-in may have failed or been reversed because the wallet or transaction limit was reached, and suggests waiting for the limits to refresh, trying a smaller amount, or asking the sender to cancel and resend.
